Textbook of Veterinary Internal Medicine: 2-Volume Set 6th edition

The Sixth Edition of Textbook of Veterinary Internal Medicine: 2-Volume Set by Stephen J. Ettinger and Edward C. Feldman is used in most veterinary schools in the world. Translated into 5 languages and generally considered the most complete general veterinary internal medicine textbook. First section is very easy to read approach to clinical medicine. This is the perfect book for vets and veterinary students. They are much actualized and give explanations about the diseases and diagnosis in detail. The book is a good review about the most common diseases found in dogs and cats. It’s well written and has enough tables and flow charts to summarize the most important differential diagnosis.
The overall result is a thorough, contemporary account of the field of small animal medicine. This book provides an excellent review of the field. Although costly, it represents good value for money in view of the depth and breadth of the material covered. The text should serve both a useful reference text for the small animal practice library and a valuable source of revision for those undertaking further study.
Updated and expanded, the new 6th edition of this popular text remains the only encyclopedic resource for veterinary internal medical problems! This internationally acclaimed "gold standard" offers unparalleled coverage of pathophysiology, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases affecting dogs and cats. Focusing on the clinical manifestations of disease and approaching disease in terms of the organ system involved, this comprehensive resource presents the latest information on specialties ranging from oncology, immunology, and reproductive problems, to skeletal and joint disorders, gastroenterology, and more. This new edition also includes a companion CD-ROM with references and weblinks.
If you can only have one Internal Medicine book in your library, this is it. Very little not found in this book. Authors have made a great effort to be complete and it is well edited. All other Internal Medicine books are superficial, but if you want to know the theory, current treatment/diagnosis, and current research possibilities buy this. It is great!
