Romich: Fundamentals of Pharmacology for Veterinary Technicians

This is a combination of highly effective learning tools consisting of the textbook, CD-ROMs, and on-line resources. They will help students develop a deep understanding of the principles of pharmacology and the various classifications of drugs and their uses. The text uses easy-to-understand explanations, illustrations, case studies, and review questions so students develop a strong grasp of the complex biological processes involving pharmaceuticals. Tech Tips appearing throughout the text enable students to quickly focus on helpful reminders and useful hints when reading.

An extensive math review in the text and supplemental math practice on the two CD-ROMs serve as a refresher and as a tool for visualizing the use of math in the clinical setting. Students will easily retain information regarding the use of pharmaceuticals in veterinary practice thanks to the presentation of drugs by category and a short review of anatomy and physiology at the beginning of each chapter. And, in the practical setting, a multitude of charts serves as a quick reference for new and seasoned veterinary technicians.
