Georgis' Parasitology for Veterinarians 8th Edition

Georgis' Parasitology for Veterinarians 8th Edition by Dwight D. Bowman has been thoroughly updated and covers 6 major topics of discussion, including Arthropods, Protozoans, Helminths, Antiparasitic drugs, Diagnostic Parasitology and Histopathological Diagnosis. It also features extensive discussion of dog and cat parasites, particularly hookworms and roundworms. Although the diseases caused by these infections are not as common as 20 years ago, the parasites are still routinely infecting patients. Hundreds of illustrations make for helpful identification and the easy to follow format allows for quick but detailed overviews of specific topics.
An excellent book.

Very comprehensive, organized both by phylogeny of parasitic organisms and by animal host. Includes a great chapter on therapeutics! Lots of great pictures, both of various stages of the parasitic organisms and lesions caused by clinical disease.
